Here is an unusual dreidel I call a carousel
dreidel. The carousel dreidel spins
in its stand whereas a normal dreidel spins on a flat surface. This dreidel and stand are made of
Brazilian Purple Heart, and Brazilian Yellow Heart aka Pao Amarillo. The chain and all other metal parts are
made of sterling silver. The
dreidel spins on a red dyed coral cabochon. The inlaid dots on the dreidel are made of Yellow Heart. The inlaid dots on the stand are made of
African Blackwood and Pink Ivory both exotic woods. A gentle twist of the spindle will set
this dreidel in motion. The dreidel
measures 1 ¾” in diameter and stands 3” tall without the stand, and 5 ¾”
tall in the stand.
