Bank #B088 © This #1 sized
bank was handcrafted from figured American Black Walnut and trimmed with
Brazilian Pau Amarillo. The brass and
Walnut door is an 1880”s door that I believe was manufactured by the Eagle
Lock Co. as it is marked on the lock. The wood on the original door has been
replaced with a piece of American Black Walnut Burl wood. The glass has also been replaced with a
new piece of laser engraved glass to match the original glass. The back panel of the bank has been
bookmatched to reveal a beautiful pattern. The door is shown on page 194 E of
Jane Ingram’s Second Edition Book.
The Joinery used is a corner-post double dovetail. This bank is coated with 4 coats of
sprayed lacquer inside and out for a beautiful finish. The bank is even more beautiful than can
be seen in these photos. NOT FOR SALE AT THIS TIME
